Presentation

The starting point is at Mingzhu Square, with the finish line located at Zhonghe Square in Mount Yun. The course traverses the hills and valleys, ancient villages, and cultural landmarks of southern Shanxi, offering both challenge and runnability. It provides an ideal long-distance endurance training ground for advanced runners, while immersing participants in the unique mountainous scenery where the Loess Plateau meets the Taiyue Mountains.

The entire course is bathed in the autumn atmosphere of southern Shanxi. By mid-October, Mount Yun is at its most vibrant, with runners passing through red-leaf-covered valleys and golden terraced fields. Cultural sights dot the journey: from the ancient eaves and corners of the thousand-year-old Dongyue Temple to the abundant harvest in the vineyards of Rongzi Winery; from the tranquil, time-worn stone streets of Anfeng Ancient Town to the poignant historical imprints at the Hualing Temple Anti-Japanese War Memorial. The rhythm of the run shifts with the changing landscapes. The final 4.2 kilometer sprint gently descends along the scenic road inside Mount Yun, leading to Zhonghe Square, where runners finish amid the colorful autumn mountains, leaving them with a “challenging yet unforgettable” race memory.
